All paradises are gardens, and it's no coincidence that a visit to the Jardin de Balata is a magical experience for visitors. It was in 1982 that Jean-Philippe Thoze, horticulturist, landscape gardener and artist at heart, returned to the Creole home of his grandparents, following in the footsteps of his childhood. His passion for botany led him to the four corners of the earth. The garden, organized around thefamily home with its typical Creole architecture, is the fruit of a perfect alchemy between a return to his roots and an atypical artist.

A living tableau in the heart of Martinique, the garden is one of the island's treasures.
